I have worked for University Hospitals Bristol and Weston since 2006 - initially as a Palliative Care Consultant for13 years, and then the last three years leading on support and wellbeing for our doctors. In that time, I have witnessed what a difference the charity has made for both patients and staff. Without their input, many initiatives would not have been possible. 

The last few years have been incredibly hard for those working in the NHS and for those needing care from the NHS. Services are stretched, pressures are high and waiting lists are long. With wave after wave of COVID, the toll continues to affect patients, their relatives and the staff. 

The money donated to Bristol and Weston Hospitals Charity makes a difference to the lives of millions of patients who need and use our hospitals, and to the staff who care for those patients. The charity go above and beyond to transform patient experiences, the hospital environment and the wellbeing of the staff providing the care. They fund world class tech, research, and champion equal access for all.
