Brighton Trail Weekend 2022 · 25 June 2022 ·

We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

I turn 50 a week before this run and I want to celebrate the start of my 50s in style by doing something challenging and meaningful.

As well as selfishly giving me a focus for my training, I want to use this opportunity to raise money for the NSPCC and help protect children through their invaluable services. To find out more about what they do and where the money I am hoping to raise will go, click on this link https://www.nspcc.org.uk/about-us/what-we-do/

Please give what you can, even if it’s just a couple of quid in lieu of buying me a birthday drink or a coffee. If you can afford a bit more, sponsor a mile for £20 and dedicate it to a child. I will carry these names with me on the run and look at them to keep me going.

I’ll start the ball rolling and dedicate the first mile to Seren and the 1.2 at the end to Layla. We’ve got just under 6 months to pull this off, so there’s no rush and I’ll keep reminding you :-)

To keep me accountable, I have also linked my Strava account to this page so you can keep an eye on my training progress.

Thank you

Rachel
