Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am running the 10k to raise funds for 2 charities important to me, CHAS and Brain Tumour UK (separate JustGiving page). These are important to me because I was treated for a brain tumour in 2005/06, and am grateful that I got better. CHAS is a charity that provides support, short term breaks, and end of life care for very unwell babies, children and young people and their families.
My friends will know I recently started working for CHAS (Children's Hospice Association Scotland) at Robin House near Loch Lomond. I am working as a hospice doctor. Robin House was recently described by a child as a 'hotel for kids'. It is often a happy, busy, active place, with noisy music, crafts and teenage rooms. CHAS helps support siblings and families affected by illness and bereavement, and provides support to some families in their own homes.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you for your support, it is appreciated!
