Raise Awareness for Meningitis, 50k walk/run in memory of Laura Jones💜
My sister very suddenly passed away from meningitis in October 2021. It left a big hole in our family and was such a sad, heartbreaking time for us all. She passed away at just 33 and when she was diagnosed by paramedics she did not have a rash, which is one of the main signs of meningitis. This made us realise that a rash is not always a sign and can just be cold hands and feet, headache, fever and sickness.
My sister passed away within the same day of symptoms developing in the early hours of the morning. My sister was an absolutely incredible women, confident bubbly and loving, she had a pure heart of gold. She left behind 2 young children and I want to raise as much awareness for meningitis as possible and commemorate her death.
I want to not only support victims but support families and bereavement.I want to further support research and find a cure for meningitis but most of all. to raise awareness so people know the signs and symptoms to look out for. To know a rash is not always there!!
Any donations towards meningitis now would mean the world to me and my family. Together we can make a difference and let’s raise awareness of Meningitis. 💜🤍🦋
Thank you for supporting Meningitis Now. Our vision is a future where no one in the UK loses their life to meningitis and everyone affected gets the support they need to rebuild their lives.
