Story

We're taking part in the Alzheimer's Society skydive 2022!

Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity.

Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes and there’s currently no cure.

We are jumping  in memory of my mum Mary (Phoebe ‘s grandmother) who we sadly said goodbye to in November 2020, 2 days after she turned 89. She, and we, had been living with her dementia for over 10 years. The last year was particularly hard due to Covid - we were not able to see her in person as much as we would have wanted. Phoebe cared for her during her last summer and this was such a blessing to know she had family close. We live in the knowledge that one day we will meet again, and it will be a joyful reunion.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day a cure is found, Alzheimer's Society aims to  create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

Please donate today and help Alzheimer's Society achieve their vision - a world without dementia.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
