Story
Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
UPDATE-30 RACES FINISHED!!!!!!! THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL THE SUPPORT AND PLEASE KEEP DONATING!!!!!!
So I have reached the end of my twenties but unfortunately not my challenge... As many of you will know (thanks Edinburgh Evening News) in July last year I suffered smoke inhalation as a result of a fire in my flat stairwell. This has obviously had an impact on my running but since getting my inhaler I have been trying to build up my fitness. I may be super slow but I am determined to finish the 30 races (and more just for fun) by the end of March. I hope people will excuse the slight extension.
Just an update of some of the races so far...
Blackpool Half , Lasswade 10 Mile, Random Welsh Hill Race, Cartmel Sticky Toffee Trail 10k, Deerstalker (not mighty!), Glenlivet 10k, Bog Trot, Guisley Gallop, Edinburgh Half, Ulverston Trail Race, Hungary Trail Race, Stavely Trail Race, Penicuik 10k, HBT Handicap Race, National Cross Country Championships, Great Winter Run, Broughton Heights, Oldham Park Run, plus two hill races...
I have chosen to run for Macmillan in memory of Katie Sheridan, my friend who would also have been 30 this February but sadly died after a courageous fight against cancer aged only 14. However this is also for all the others who have suffered from cancer and their families and friends.
This challenge is also for Mind another charity which is very important to me. Please visit my other Just Giving page http://www.justgiving.com/Rachel-Heathcote0
I am paying for all races myself so all money raised will go to the charities. Please give whatever you can.
