Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As everybody that knows me is aware, I am incredibly blessed to have four beautiful children - Thomas, Lauren, Sophia & Samuel. Becoming a mother really was - and remains - the best thing that ever happened to me! However, I have also experienced the heartbreak of four miscarriages, the most recent being the twin of my youngest son Samuel. Having to be rushed to hospital by ambulance in the middle of the night, dreading (yet knowing already) what the doctors are going to tell you, is something I would not wish on anybody. Having a miscarriage is painful, both mentally and physically, and it's equally hard for the partner of the person going through it, as they can do absolutely nothing to help.
There are still so many unanswered questions around the topic of miscarriage and yet so many women go through it, often more than once.
So, despite my, ahem, excess baggage, my current fitness level of zero and the fact that I would choose sitting on the sofa eating chocolate ANY day over exercise... I'm dusting off my trainers and committing to push myself completely out of my comfort zone by running this race on September 11th 2016 for The Miscarriage Association.
I will keep this page updated every step of the way. Please support me if you can and thanks for reading xx
