We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

This is a charity that funds for a cause very close to my heart. When I was 9 years old, my beautiful nana was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. I would often visit her when she could no longer live at home by herself but I could not understand a lot of what was happening to her and why she could not recognise us. Since her heartbreaking passing in 2007, I felt inspired to become an adult nurse. Currently at age 20, I have worked in various healthcare settings and cared for dementia patients on placements as part of my current degree programme. I have also completed various dementia courses and study days but I now want to begin fundraising for the Alzheimer's Society as they pledge to contribute towards research, improving patient care, campaigning for improvement of public understanding and much more. Ultimately, my aim is to raise awareness to get this amazing charity more recognition for those in need of support. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my page. I would be extremely grateful for donations made!

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
