Story
On Saturday June 12th 2021 Simon and I will be each aiming to swim 1 mile in open water at Lake Windermere, in aid of The Alzheimer's Society. We are raising funds in memory of my much loved uncle, Bill Robinson, who we lost to this vile disease seven years ago. We hope that by doing this, we can raise funds to support research that will eradicate Alzheimers for good.
We know it will be a challenge. Because of lockdown, we have not been able to train, and will only be able to start this week. Our exposure to open water swimming has been limited so I know it is going to be tough.
Please support if me if you can, every little helps!
Many thanks, Rachel x
Alzheimer's Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
