Story
As a mum of two young boys, I share Hope for Children's belief that all children deserve to have a happy, healthy and positive childhood. The work that Hope for Children does is vital, and I love the fact that it is so diverse, impacting children across the world.
I have been living in Dubai for 13 years, got married and had two beautiful boys here - although by birth our children are Anglo-Egyptian, they are truly global citizens, and I would love to inspire them by raising money for such a wonderful cause.
I’m a keen runner but I have never run a full marathon, and being born and raised in London, running the London Marathon for Hope for Children would be a wonderful achievement.
Hope for Children is currently focusing on eight countries - I come into contact with many people from countries like India, Sri Lanka and the Philippines every day in the UAE, and it would be wonderful to feel I am making a small difference in their lives.
I would be proud to raise money for an organisation like Hope for Children with a track record in giving children in these countries access to a happy and healthy childhood via education, health and a sustainable livelihood.
If I can improve the life of even one child and give them close to the opportunities my children are lucky enough to have, I will be thrilled!
