Women and their children in Ethiopia are at risk of being made homeless as they have lost all their income due to Covid19.  This means they face the dangers of being on the streets of Addis Ababa, with no money for food or shelter. World of Worth (WOW) has been working with these women for 10 years to give them businesses, safe shelter, healthcare and food, and the thought of them being made homeless is too awful. I have met these women personally when I travelled to visit the project.  I have been to their homes and heard their stories.  These women are now fearful of ending up back on the streets with their children, and I can't bear to let this happen.  As WOW has had to cancel many of their events due to Covid, wearing the same dress for one year is something I can do to raise awareness and funds for the women and children in Ethiopia. £24 will keep a family off the streets for 1 month. If 300 people donate £2 per month it will save 24 families from eviction.  You can sign up to donate £2 per month (or more if you want!) at www.wowuk.org or make a one off donation. Perhaps you can join me in wearing the same for a month and raise £24 or more?  Maybe the next time you go to buy an outfit, you can decide to donate the money instead?  I will keep you updated with my story of how it felt to wear the same dress for a year!!  Thanks so much, Rachel :-)
