Story
I am very fortunate to have been accepted to run in the 2015 Virgin London Marathon supporting the Brain Tumour Charity. I have pledged to raise £2500 for this great and deserving cause…which is where I need your help!
This is a charity of great significance to myself and thousands of others who are affected by cancer every day. I was never aware that brain tumours were such a common cancer until my grandpa, friend’s dad and child all got diagnosed within the same 6 months. All diagnosed as terminal. We were absolutely devastated when my grandpa passed 2 weeks after being diagnosed. I've witnessed through my own experience and others, how much this type of cancer can consume and change your life. My grandpa was a very athletic man, sticking to his same workout routine from his twenties to late seventies. He always admired those running the London marathon, so I would love to have the opportunity to do the marathon for him, my friends who lost someone to the same disease and also to help prevent others losing their loved ones to this growing cancer.
At this point I plead with you to be generous to give me the motivation and to help kick cancer where it hurts, so that we and the generations that follow us can all be a little bit more cancer-free.
