Story
I am running the Oxford half marathon in October to help raise money for Helen and Douglas House. Last year my lovely friend Emily and her family received the most awful news imaginable - their daughter, Neve, was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Neve, who is now 8 years old, has been receiving wonderful care from Helen & Douglas House which supports terminally ill children and their families. This Children’s hospice is not NHS funded and only receives about 15% of the funding it needs from government. As a charity it must find the rest through fundraising.
I am running on Neve’s Team with Emily (our Team captain) and friends in support of Helen and Douglas House.
Please support me by donating to my page - thank you!
Without public donations and support, Helen & Douglas House can't be there for local families going through the unimaginable heartbreak of caring for and losing a terminally ill child. Helen & Douglas House supports terminally ill children and their families so that they don't have to face unimaginable heartbreak alone. To keep providing the care and love these families depend on, the hospice needs to find over £3.4 million a year.
