Story
18 years ago our baby Dylan died from Meningitis, as a consequence of a rare late-onset GBS infection. He was just 27 days old.
We'd never heard of Group B Strep or the risks it can present to newborn babes. Since that time, I've supported the GBSS charity that helped us. Sharing information to empower other parents, in the hope that the learning from Dylan's short little life can make a difference for others.
Back in 2012 I also ran the LDN Marathon. Together with my sponsors, we raised around 6k🥇 for GBSS. This fundraising is essential for enabling the dedicated work and specialist support they give to parents, families, and medical practitioners.
Honoring lost little ones by sharing experiences and knowledge so that future lives are saved, GBSS is creating a lasting legacy of awareness of the risks and preventative measures against Group B Strep infections to protect newborn babies.
This run is a chance to GO again ⚡️
Please can you donate a small amount to a GOOD cause? Every little helps!..and your contributions and support are TRULY APPRECIATED. THANKYOU. I would never have made it through our experience without the continued LOVE from all of YOU BRILLIANT Friends & Family 🙏🏼
