I am a Sonographer at Bradford Royal Infirmary were the majority of children who visit hospital require imaging as part of their care and we perform more than 20,000 imaging investigations every year.

The imaging we do ranges from x-rays in the Accident and Emergency Department, to ultrasound scans , and more complex studies with CT, MRI and isotope studies.

We are aiming to improve the facilities for children and young people in all our departments. We would like to improve the waiting room facilities in radiology at BRI and SLH, provide distraction toys and activites for children undergoing scans and to furnish a quiet room where children can rest.
