Story
Watching the London Marathon this year I got a major case of FOMO. In a frenzied moment when out running in my new leggings and feeling positively gazelle like, I got home and contacted Missing People to find out how I could run on their behalf. Six months later; here I am with my own Just Giving page. Cripes.
Some of you will know why I've chosen to run for Missing People. The work they do is invaluable helping to protect missing people, many of whom are children, who are alone, terrified and vulnerable to harm and exploitation. Every year 250,000 people go missing in the UK alone and more than half are children. The impact for friends and families left behind can be devastating, leaving them in limbo and desperate to hear their loved one is safe. As well as working to find those who go missing, Missing People works with families of those who have disappeared and with the police on publicity appeals.
Any donation you can give is going to a really worthy cause. Thank you.
Wish me luck. xx
