Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page, set up in memory of Rachael who died on August 20th this year.
On December 7th, Rachael and Nick would have been married for 22 years. Two days later, on the 9th, Rachel's family and friends would be celebrating her 52nd birthday. Cici and Nick thought that we should do something positive in Rachael's memory at a time when we're all going to be thinking of her and really feeling her absence. So we decided that on December 8th, we are going to run the Princess Alice's Santa Run to raise money for Princess Alice Hospice.
Rachael spent the last weeks her life at the Princess Alice Hospice in Esher where she received the most wonderful care. The Princess Alice staff showed such kindness and support and gave her family and friends the chance to spend some precious time with her in her final days.
Most of Princess Alice Hospice's funding comes from private donations. If anyone wants to give a Princess Alice a few quid in Rachael's memory, it will help them to keep on doing their valuable and important work. And if anyone wants to take part in the run or come along and support Cici and I on the day, the more the merrier!
