The WISHH charity is raising money to enhance environments in Hull and East Yorkshire hospitals to produce more dementia friendly spaces and improve outcomes for patients affected by the condition.

Story

I need a new challenge and I need a reason to do it!  I will be running the following marathons:

Brighton - 9 April 2017

Hull - 24 September 2017

Yorkshire - 8 October 2017

Hull is my hometown and although I don't visit often my family still live here. My Dad was affected by dementia and died in November 2016. It's an awful illness and I would like to raise funds to help those who are in hospital feel more secure.

Historically hospitals have always relied on public support, even after the founding of the NHS; Hull and East Yorkshire (HEY) Hospitals are no different. Our mission as a charity is to raise money to help the Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital do more to ensure every patient receives the best and most modern care possible. Your support will help provide additional specialist equipment and support services, as well as aid the transformation of spaces and facilities within the hospitals for patient and visitor comfort alike.
