Story

Having served nearly 20 years in the RAF I decided to take on the enormous challenge of running the London Marathon in Oct. In addition to this, I will also be raising £2000 for the Royal Air Force Association (RAFA) - who work tirelessly to support the RAF family when they need help.

To achieve the £2000 charity target I have worked very hard, with support from my family, by asking for donations for homemade cakes, homemade bunting, fun sweepstakes and games such as, guess the sweets or pasta in a jar! Please see picture above.

Why RAFA? Whatever the RAF family need, they can rely on RAFA every step of the way to give practical assistance, expert advice and emotional support. Throughout life's challenges, RAFA are there for RAF personnel, in person and on the phone. RAFA support injured airman, widows of WWII veterans and families needing support when they are separated . Your amazing fundraising support helps us to achieve so much, to find out more go to: www.rafa.org.uk
