Story
I've been so unfit for the past few years, I needed to get fit, I suffer with Endometriosis and have used that as an excuse to be lazy. I needed a challenge in order to sustain any improvements in fitness. This seemed perfect way to challenge myself and focus on being fit and well rather than being ill.
As well as improving my lifestyle, I wanted to raise money for this great charity. My mum had cancer when I was very little, she struggled with this awful disease, and luckily successfully fought it and has been in remission for 20 years.
I have lost many family members to this disease, Annie Quarmby, my brilliant Nana; Nancy Thomson, my fantastic Gran; and Frances Hansen, my lovely grandmother in law. I will do this in memory of them all.
The disease has also touched many of my friends and their families. It is such an awful disease that it takes its toll on those who suffer and those who see their loved ones suffering.
