Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As some of you may know Steve and I lost our son Wiliam in 2018. William was born 13 weeks premature in 2010, which resulted in him having lots of complex additional needs. These additional needs meant it was challenging for us as a family to find activities and support groups to attend. We always felt that we didn't quite fit and this made us feel very isolated.
We found out about Allsorts through a Community Nurse and it changed our lives. Suddenly we had a Community we felt part of, support groups like Parent/Carers and Toddlers that were suited to William's individual challenges and activities that catered for his additional needs. It also gave Steve and I the chance to meet other parents who understood our world.
In 2021 I joined the Allsorts Team as Fundraising and Communications Manager. I wanted to give back to the charity that had meant so much to our family.
It's an amazing charity to work for. The team is so dedicated to providing as many opportunities to members as possible so they can try new things, make new friends and feel less isolated.
My fundraiser this Christmas is in memory of our gorgeous son William and I'm hoping to raise lots of funds to help his friends and all the other members in 2023.
The Fundraiser is a 3-hour fitness session run by our amazing Allsorts Sports Team, which will challenge all the participants to become the last Santa standing! We'll be doing a HIIT session, Core session, Circuits and more. I think I'll need a massive breakfast and lots of sweets to keep me going!
It would be wonderful if you could support me this Christmas. xxx
