Story

We're fundraising for Tommy’s who provide expert advice and fund pioneering research to prevent stillbirth, miscarriage and premature birth. Your sponsorship allows Tommy’s to continue their vital work – in short you’re helping save babies' lives.

In January of this year, after weeks of physical and emotional turmoil, we were told that our 9.5 week pregnancy was ectopic, and that I required emergency surgery.

In an ectopic pregnancy, a fertilised egg starts to grow somewhere other than in the normal lining of the womb, usually in one of the fallopian tubes. This affects around 1 in 100 pregnancies. An ectopic pregnancy creates a potentially life-threatening situation for the mother, and it isn't possible to save the baby.

We will be walking 5K a day in October to raise money to support Tommy's research, and to get ourselves back into fitness after a traumatic time that continues to have an impact on our physical and mental wellbeing.

Please give generously, your support means the world to us.
