Nikki battled a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer for 17 months. Although she fought so hard, with amazing strength, the cancer could not be stopped.

During this time we researched trials for new anti-cancer drugs to try and help Nikki to beat this terrible disease.  Unfortunately, we found that the funding for brain cancer trials, especially for the rarer types of brain cancer, is very limited in the UK.

NIkki's friends and family are running Race For Life in her memory to raise money for this worthy cause.

We ran 5k in 2013 and 2014 and this year we are back running 10k for Nikki!

Since Race for Life started in 1994, an incredible six million participants have raised over £500 million, more than any other UK event series raising money to fund cancer research.

Some of our Race for Life women take part in celebration of surviving a cancer experience. Others take part in memory of a loved one or to give hope to a cancer-free future. But all of you share a common goal: to raise money for Cancer Research UK's groundbreaking work and to help save more lives.

The money you have raised has been used to fund the work of over 4,000 researchers, doctors and nurses dedicated to helping more people beat cancer.
