Race to Respond 2019 · 6 July 2019 ·

The Race to Respond is more than your average 10km immersive race; it is a physical and mental challenge designed by CARE International UK based on the experiences of our humanitarian workers in real emergency situations.

Story

Have we got what it takes to deliver life-saving aid in an emergency situation? Can we handle the mental and physical challenges aid workers face during a humanitarian disaster?

On Saturday 6th July 2019 a steely-faced (potentially sweaty-faced) team of Michael, Hannah, Katherine and Lindsay will tackle Race to Respond - a 10km immersive challenge event (think assault course in Full Metal Jacket) running, climbing, wading and out-thinking our way to the finish line.

We're raising money for Care International UK, which happens to be the NGO we work for (not at all biased of course). When a disaster strikes somewhere in the world CARE is there to make sure families get the help they need. The work CARE does saves lives and fights poverty by empowering women and girls because let's face it, we still don't live in an equal world - so we can't stop until we do.

There will be photographic evidence of our bold and spirited attempts to complete this challenge so please give whatever you can to a great cause!

Many, many thanks and love,

Michael, Hannah, Katherine and Lindsay
