Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm doing a 3-day cycle ride, from Birmingham to London, to raise money and also awareness about the terrible state of affairs that constitutes daily life for children in Gaza. I'll be joining many other cyclists, cycling from Edinburgh to London, over a 9-day period.

The event is called THE BIG RIDE and will raise funds for the children of Palestine through the "Middle East Children's Alliance": http://www.mecaforpeace.org/about.

On a personal level, I'm doing this ride because we all watched in horror the atrocities befalling Gaza last year. A year on, Gaza is still in a state of emergency. I can't imagine what it must be like for a child to grow up in this hell, but on every level - physical, emotional, psychological - it must be horrific.

I want to be able to make my own small contribution, and I warmly invite you to do the same. If you can sponsor in any way my cycle ride, every contribution, however small, will be fantastic. I am paying for the ride myself, so all contributions you make will go directly to the charity.

And of course, I encourage anyone who wishes to join me and cycle just for one day! It would be wonderful if you can.
