Story
I did a charity run sometime ago for Cancer research after our nan died suddenly from lung cancer. This run is in support of the amazing selfless work of the Macmillan nurses.
In October 2013, just when I thought the world just couldn't possibly be any more cruel, my grandad was diagnosed with cancer. Within just 6 weeks of his diagnosis he sadly passed away at home in a dignified way. It left our lives in broken pieces.
My grandad meant the world to all of us, he still does. Everyday is difficult, and for sometime I couldn't see a light at the end of the tunnel. Without the support of my amazing "circle" of friends who were there every step of the way, and the Macmillan nurses I just don't think we could have pulled through. This run is to give something back to the work that the charity does to help everyone who is affected in some way, shape or form by such an awful illness.
So please dig deep, anything and everything counts!
