Years ago I cared for my grandma while she struggled with Alzheimer's. Eventually, she deteriorated so much that I was unable to care for her in her own home and she was taken into residential care.

My very dear friend Cathy's dad is currently having his own daily battle with Alzheimer's. 

We're swimming the channel as part of a relay in August 2017 as well as running Manchester Half Marathon in October.
