Story

Assalam'alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuhu,

I hope you and your familes are in the best of health and imaan inshAllah.

Our beloved messenger, Mohammed (Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam) said "For every hair on the sacrificial animal, a reward will be recorded for the person making the Qurbani" [Sahih Muslim]

The purpose of this page is mainly to get all the students/children on whom qurbani is not yet wajid to donate whatever they can so we can together raise enough, and be able to feed some of poor brothers and sisters on the day of Eid, inshAllah.

Last year by the grace of Allah subhana tala, by creating a similar page last year and circulating it to friends/family/Muslim forums we managed to raise £105, this was used towards sacrificing a cow, or two sheep in either India/Somalia. (Charity was told to sacrifice in whichever place needed it most)

This year inshAllah, we hope to do the same. All the money raised will go to Ummah Welfare Trust and they will do the qurbani on our behalf.

Qurbani is wajib on every on every sane, mature (one who has reached puberty) Muslim who is not a traveler, who is rich (meaning who owns wealth which is beyond one's need equal to (or more than) nisab = 72 grams of gold or 100 grams of silver), and who has come upon the Day of Sacrifice of Eid.

If this is wajib on you then please check the price list, donate accordingly and remember to write which animal you want to sacrifice when you donate. Or you can call the charity directly on 01274 390 396 and get it done.

If qurbani is not wajib on you and you would like to earn tonnes of reward then please do donate!

JazakAllah Khair
