Story
Another year, another chance to take on the famous "Goodworth Clatford Christmas Quiz" compiled by the legendary word-wizard Stephen Graham. There will be small cash prizes for the top three scores - but the main idea is to provide you and your family with some amusement over Christmas.
There are a few important points to note when donating, please read these notes as it is a different process to previous years!
1) Click on the pink “Donate” button on the webpage and then choose the amount you wish to donate (it defaults to differing amounts/currencies).
2) JustGiving then try to get you to give THEM money (mine defaults to 10% of the donation) - YOU MAY WANT TO CHANGE THIS (via the drop down menu) to “Other” and insert zero if you do not want to give JustGiving anything on top of your donation....this is NOT the Gift Aid section (that comes next).
3) Click the “Continue” button and the Gift Aid process starts. It’s occupied some of the finest legal minds in the country, but if you Donate £10 or more YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CLAIM GIFT AID on your donation (if you’re a UK taxpayer and donating your own money), so...
4) Click on “I’m donating my own money” and then “Continue” (or “Skip”) on the next page and then “Yes, Add Gift Aid” (plus the 3 tick boxes that then appear below), followed by the “Continue” button.
5) Next there’s your Taxpayer details to confirm, then click “Continue” again and you’re through to the payment page.
6) Once you’ve completed the payment details and chosen whether to receive message from Breast Cancer Support, the final thing you must do is to tick/click the "I’m happy to share my contact details with Andy Graham” box so that I know where to send the Quiz.
The deadline is Jan 14th, 2020. I’m sorry to have to put so much detail in this email, but Gift Aid on donations will mean we can raise up to £2,000 extra for the Charity (based on last year’s donations) so worth the verbosity!
A flavour of the quiz....
