Story
The big charity challenge for Quill this year is an epic Bike, Boats and Boots challenge.
Wednesday the 21st of September in Keswick Quill we will be cycling 40 miles along the bank of Bassenthwaite Lake, ending at Derwentwater. Once at Derwentwater we will be jumping into canoes and paddling 2 miles around the water before returning to the bikes.
Most people would stop there but we love a challenge!!
We will then cycle over to the base of Skiddaw and begin an epic 3000ft climb to its summit. All 3 challenges will take place over a 12-hour period and will be in teams of four.
Here's why and who we're helping:
The British Heart Foundation has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly everyday hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help us hit our target.
