Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
KEHS Quill Club is excited to release its 2020-2021 anthology which is its second. This anthology is in support of the charity Kissing it Better, which helps enhance the lives of older people in hospitals, care homes and the community. This anthology consists of short stories, poems and illustrations contributed to Quill from KEHS students. It centres around the themes of ‘This is a tragedy of your own making’, Dreams and Journeys which have unleashed a tide of brilliant ideas. We hope these creative pieces will be a source of inspiration and enjoyment.
The first purpose of this anthology is to celebrate and encourage the power of creativity in bringing people together. The second purpose is to raise money for Kissing it Better’s work which is particularly relevant now due to the COVID-19 pandemic exacerbating the challenges faced by older people including isolation. With one of Quill’s members having volunteered with Kissing it Better, they have seen first-hand the positive impact the charity’s work has had on older people’s lives and how creative pursuits can be important in these people’s experiences and memories, as they are to the members of Quill and the wider KEHS community.
We are releasing this as a free e-book via simplebooklet so that everyone can access it wherever they are, whenever they want. This can be accessed here: https://simplebooklet.com/quillanthology20202021kehs (copy and paste)
However, it would be greatly appreciated if you could donate directly to Kissing it Better through this JustGiving page.
Any amount is a worthwhile contribution to this cause, but we would like to raise as much as possible so we would recommend a donation of £2.50.
*Due to some of the subject matters explored in the anthology pieces, we feel it is best suited to readers of age 12+*
We hope this anthology inspires other young creative minds to produce something truly wonderful.
Thank you,
Quill <3
