After the success of our 2015 #MercMillan Quadricycle Challenge, we needed to go bigger and better for our 2018 project! 

Follow our journey as Lincoln University help us to convert our four man bike into a river-going vessel. The new #MercMillan Quadmaran will come with pedigree status, as we're converting the craft Guy Martin used to attempt the water speed record recently. WOW!

Last time round, you helped us to raise over £16,000 for Macmillan. It's only right and proper that we attempt to beat this and go for £20,000. After all, we'll be biking from Boston to Lincoln and then boating back in one day!

Fundraising is hugely important to Macmillan. Up date on the Quadmaran, the students at Lincoln University are progressing well with the mounting & drive, hopefully ready for testing in January on Burton Waters. Weather permitting!!!

The date for the event will be July 21st 2018 starting on the Quadricycle from  Boston Mercedes to Burton Waters (Lincoln) approx 40miles then converting to Quadmaran back to Boston on the river Witham approx 40miles. Time table for route to follow after Quadmaran testing.

First testing should be on the 10th February on Burton Waters.

Testing for floatation & balance all went well at Burton Waters on Saturday 10th March, next step is to fit the drive unit & propeller ready for final testing & hand over to us from the university on 24th March again at Burton Waters if anyone wants to pop down, we will hopefully be doing a run into the Brayford & back.

We will be promoting the Quadmaran at Boston FC on 30th March & in Pescod Square on the 7th of April all day if anyone would like to pop down & see us.

A fantastic day at Boston United watching the game & raising a huge amount £386.95 towards our goal!! Thanks to everyone for there support.

Our next testing will be at Burton Waters on 12th May hopefully going to Brayford Pool & back, will give us more of an idea for speed & timings so I can let you know where we will be at certain times on the day of the challenge, 21st July 2018.

We will be at Burton Waters this Saturday 12th May for final testing, hopefully going into the Brayford Pool & back, hopefully see some of you there.

All went well on Saturday with testing, next step to get it sprayed in MacMillan & Lincoln University colours ready for another long test run on the 3rd June, ready for showing at Lincolnshire show.
