Story
The reason we are raising money:
This year the Queen's Royal Lancers Light Aid Detachment REME will be taking part in numerous activities to raise money for Help for Heroes. This charity takes care of our wounded soldiers, many of whom suffer terrible injuries. It strives to provide the best resources to ensure our soldiers receive the best possible rehabilitation treatment before returning to their job in the military or moving on to the challenges of civillian life. The charity has been so successful because of the overwhelming support of you, the British Public. No matter the amount, please take the time to donate. Your support means more than you can imagine. Thank you. If you wish to read more about what Help for Heroes does and how all your money is spent please go to the offical site at the address below.

3 Peaks Challenge - 23/24 Jun 10 - Completed in 23 hrs 24 mins
The LAD, with support from HQ Sqn, will be taking part in several events. The main event is the 3 Peaks Challenge. This is an event that 8 soldiers from the LAD will participate in. It involves climbing the 3 highest peaks in Scotland, England & Wales all in 24 hours. This includes the driving time between the 3 locations. The event will start at 1700hrs on Wed 23 Jun 2010 at the foot of Beinn Nevis and end at the foot of Snowdon (hopefully before 1700hrs on the 24th) after climbing and descending all 3 peaks. The ability and age of the group varies so it will be a team effort completing the event successfully. Photo's will be posted at various stages of the event including group photos at the top of the 3 peaks. Please donate, any amount you can spare. It will make a difference.
