Story
At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, we need your support to put the wheels in motion for our latest fundraising campaign. Help us raise money to purchase brand new wheelchairs, in order to transport patients - young and old - around the hospital.
The wheelchairs are used by a whole spectrum of patients - from children admitted with broken limbs, to heavily pregnant mothers, elderly patients, and everyone in between. The hospital needs a fleet of new wheelchairs. These will provide better comfort for patients unable to walk by themselves, and adhere to the latest health and safety guidelines.
The King’s Lynn newspaper, 'your local paper' (YLP), have kindly teamed up with us in support of the campaign - aiming to purchase 30 wheelchairs costing £800 each. To achieve this goal, we must raise at least £24,000 following our launch - 'The Wheel Appeal' - on 31st October.
YLP will be posting regular updates on the campaign until our target is met. Be sure to look out for their banner around town and for frequent sponsors' lists. As a donor, you may have your name posted on them!
To take part in this exciting
campaign, join in with your family, colleagues or friends and hold
fundraising events at work, school, or at local clubs / societies. For example; bake sales, raffles, a bring-and-buy sale, etc. The
hospital's fundraising office is on-hand to answer any questions and give you support, so feel
free to contact us on (01553) 613373.
