QDG & LRRG St David's and Patrick's Day Challenge

1st The Queen's Dragoon Guards and the LRRG St David's and Patrick's Day Challenge · 1 March 2022
1st The Queen’s Dragoon Guards @TheWelshCavalry
celebrates St David’s day every year. However, this year we will be unable to celebrate in our traditional form. This is not going to hold us back as either a regiment, or the Long Range Reconnaissance Group in Mali and the UK.
The aim is that accumulatively, we will run cycle and walk 9,387 miles on the 08 March. This will be tracked on Strava for all those in the UK, and for those deployed on operations it will be tracked via GPS. Whilst deployed in Mali, the temperature frequently hits around 50 degrees, which will make this no easy task. We will complete this challenge in three different groupings, each contributing 3,129 miles each.
The aim of this JustGiving page, is to raise money for the Dreams and Wishes Charity. This charity is dedicated to helping seriously ill children by making their dreams and wishes come true. They provide support for children and their families, as well as ensuring that families are still able to make wonderful and long-lasting memories.
Any funds that could be contributed to this amazing charity will be gratefully received. The more money that we can raise will help those who are in greater need than ourselves. For the price of a coffee alone, you could be helping someone's dream become a reality.
We thank you in advance and Happy St David’s & Patrick's Day from all members of 1st The Queen’s Dragoon Guards and the Long Range Reconnaissance Group, deployed out in Mali.
