We as a medical centre are taking part in the Great-Inflate-A-Race to raise money for the Yeovil Hospital Charity.
The Great-Inflate-A-Race is a 5km fun run on cross country terrain, with a inflatable obstacles, space hoppers and a rope net!
The money raised will go to different projects within Yeovil Hospital, for instance
- £10 can fund a craft therapy pack for patients in their Oncology Unit, to be used by patients undergoing chemotherapy
- £25 can fund a tea and cake round on a ward to help alleviate the feeling of loneliness for a patient
- £40 can fund a visit from Lofty, the miniature American Shetland pony who comes to visit patients on the wards
- £75 can fund a musician to visit the ward and stimulate memories for patients with dementia and provide a welcome distraction for patients
- £100 can fund play equipment for the children on the paediatric ward
- £500 can fund lifesaving equipment
