Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The Queen's Regimental Riders Association (QRRA) are taking the lead on behalf of the Queen's and PWRR Associations to build a Veterans Horticultural Rehabilitation, Social and Community Project.  The funds raised will all go to purchasing the materials required for the building. The labour will come from within the QRRA and will be provided free of charge.

Regrettably, the Regiment has seen an increase in the number of mental health cases (sadly two of our number took their lives in 2018) as well as an increasing number of veterans requesting assistance. We researched ways in which we could best support veterans and we believe that the use of horticulture tied into social and community activity provides this and this is what this centre will provide.  The centre will be a base for the QRRA who will use the centre to run their very successful annual One Aim Rally, the Regiment's major fundraising effort and other events.
