Thank you for supporting Pushkin House. We are the oldest independent cultural centre - in the UK and internationally - focused on exploring Russian, Soviet and post-Soviet culture. Your help will enable us to deliver our cultural programme.

Story

We are going forth on a sponsored walk all the way to Yorkshire to make sure that Pushkin House is able to reopen its doors and we can experience concerts and exhibitions within those halls once again.

We're taking the flag of Pushkin House on a two week climb up the spine of England. Rafy Hay and Jack Fonseca Burtt will walk 300 miles from London to the highest pub in Britain - the Tan Hill Inn. Please, donate to help the house re-open and continue our cultural programmes. Stay tuned on the Pushkin House social media channels for updates and livestreams.

"The sun was already fading behind the mountains;/ A humming noise was rising in the distance;/ From the fields the people walked to the village,/ Light flashing off their scythes. They're home,/ In their houses fires are lit,/ And gradually the uneven noise/ Falls silent..." --Alexander Pushkin, 'Prisoner of the Caucasus', 1822
