4 WOMEN, 100KM: PURE INSANITY!
We all decided individually and collectively that it would be a great thing to enter the Oxfam Japan Trailwalker. This is a great challenge for each of us personally and the chance to contribute in a meaningful way to Oxfam: an organisation which works to fight poverty and injustice around the globe.
Then we started to do some practise hikes in the very steep mountains around Tokyo and realised the enormity of the task we are undertaking...hence our team name: PURE INSANITY!
Donating through this Justgiving site is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Oxfam Trailwalker Japan gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. (Apologies to the non-UK taxpayers.)
So please sponsor us! (Hate to beg). When it's dark and we have already been walking for 15 hours, or more than 45kms we will need all the encouragement we can get.
It's a little bit confusing: our target is 120,000Yen, this website lists Pounds sterling, your currency of donation may be something else. Even if you are giving in Tongan Pa'anga, any amount on your credit card will be converted and credited to Oxfam and hit our little thermometer up there at the top of this page. So don't be shy!
Onward and upward - very, very far upward!
Thanks so much for visiting,
from Karen, Tamara, Claire and Sophie
