St Wilfrid’s Hospice provides tailored end of life care both in the community and at our Hospice, supporting our patients living with a terminal illness, and their family and friends. We rely on the generous support of our community to raise the £10million we need each year to fund our services.

Story

My cousin, Peter Crookston and I frequently sail together out of Itchenor (Chichester Harbour). This year we have acquired a new and much faster boat, a Hawk called Tara, and Peter and our good friend Tim Knight will be sailing it in the Nab Tower race on September 22nd this year. This is a charity fund-raising race in aid of the St Wilfrid's Hospice, which does great work in Chichester. Sadly, I shall be out of the country myself then, or I would be sailing with Peter - and we would then probably have no chance of winning. Last time we entered this race four years ago, I had to pull out at the last minute and Tim stood in for me, helping Peter to a famous victory! So my notoriously unfriendly diary has resulted in me leaving a winning team well alone and I hope they will be able to do it again this year! But they will require help, as the final placing is a combination of the result on the water and the amount of funds raised. So please give generously! And best of luck to Tim and Peter!
