Story
I have decided to fundraise for the 2027 Festival Appeal, in support of the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF), as being a Freemason myself, I know the amount of good that our fundraising does around the country.
In this country, the only organisation that gives more to Charity is the National Lottery. You can be assured that whatever monies you are able to donate will directly benefit charities in Cheshire.
Being a Freemason, I understand the selfless work that goes into helping people less fortunate than ourselves. Friendship, respect, integrity and most of all charity are what we believe in and how I personally try to lead my life.
I am attempting to ride 1500 miles on my pushbike during the month of March. If the weather is fair, I will go out on the roads, if the weather is inclement I have a smart turbo trainer with a road bike attached.
I have absolutely no idea whether this is achievable but I will be trying my best to complete 1500 miles by 31st March 2022. Believe me this is going to hurt but that is how it should be if I am asking people to hand over their hard earned money.
We support many charities across Cheshire, with donations being made on a regular basis. Last February (2021) I took part in a virtual tour of Britain along with 29 other cyclists and walkers, myself cycling 704 miles which raised £13,000 for Maggies at Clatterbridge Hospital. This is a good example of the charitable work we do along with the fundraising activities.
Without the support from our members and you the members of the public we would not be able to do the good work that we do. In these uncertain times I know it is asking a lot for you to support me. I am asking you to donate whatever you feel you can as no matter how small the donation it all adds up.
