Story
On 11th June 2021, Propulsion Swimming founders, Scott and Dan, will be taking part in the Great North Swim at Lake Windermere, swimming a distance of 5km, with the aim of raising £500 for Mind, for better mental health.
Mental Health is a hugely important topic. Most of us know someone who has suffered with mental health and for both Scott and Dan, it holds a place especially close to them.
They will be doing the swim in memory of a former swimmer and teammate Luke Bridgman. Luke was a very popular swimmer, who went on to train in one of the top squads at Loughborough University, competing at a very high level. He had his own struggles with mental health and depression, and in 2017, he sadly took his own life.
To remember Luke, and for all those we know who struggle day-to-day, they will be swimming to raise money for Mind, a charity that helps people experiencing a mental health problem get the support and respect they need.
Raising awareness is absolutely vital and any and all help you could give them in donating towards this very worthwhile cause, would be greatly appreciated.
