Story
About me:
As at the start of 2022, I had never streamed on Twitch before in my life. But I watch a lot of Twitch streams, so I wanted to try my hand at streaming myself. I have no intentions of making anything serious out of this: I have a day job, and my games are just my hobbies. But being able to build my own little community in a corner of the internet was an activity that appealed to me. And when I heard about GameBlast and SpecialEffect, the opportunity to both plunge myself headfirst into the world of streaming and support this meaningful cause at the same time was too good to pass up. As a gamer with spinal muscular atrophy type 2 myself, I am fully aware of the challenges facing the physically disabled who want to play video games, as well as the benefits to psychological wellbeing and sense of self that video games bring. I am happy to have this chance to do my bit to help more physically disabled people enjoy video gaming.
About my GameBlast22 stream:
Although it's called RS3 and Chill, we'll be keeping things clean, so don't expect any of the dirty deeds commonly associated with the "and Chill" part of the saying! By GameBlast weekend, I intend to have a few streams under my belt, as I plan to stream for at least a couple of hours every weekend leading up to the event date. On the day itself, we'll be doing The World Wakes quest on RS3. I may be maxed and have been playing for more than half my lifetime, but I'm still pretty bad so I'll probably die a lot. But that's all part of the fun! Come check out what I'm up to at https://www.twitch.tv/prophecy171. Sign up for a Twitch account and follow me to get notifications when I go live! As for donating to SpecialEffect, every dollar counts. This fundraiser is already open from now all the way through the GameBlast weekend from 25 to 27 February. You can also help by sharing this fundraiser with your own social networks so that it reaches more people. If you do decide to lend your support in any way, thank you so much!
