We raise money and awareness to help the poor & forgotten in the Ummah.

Story

Incarceration is often a difficult and lonely time. It can however also become the perfect opportunity for personal transformation and growth.

Since 2020 ‘Life With Allah’ (LWA), a daʿwah initiative of Ummah Welfare Trust has been supporting Muslim prisoners in the UK.

This year inshallah Ummah Welfare Trust will be printing 22,500 diaries to support the personal growth and īmān of our incarcerated Muslim brothers and sisters around the UK.

Over the past few years, LWA has had the opportunity to work directly with Muslim Chaplains Association (MCA), as well as a number of individual chaplains, to provide thousands of books to incarcerated Muslims in facilities around the UK.

By the grace of the Almighty, we have sent over 22,000 copies of a custom-designed diary since 2020. The diary consists of over 100 pages of beneficial knowledge, reminders and self-reflective questions. The feedback for this has been phenomenal alhamdulillah.

We also send many more books from our own publications: (lifewithallah.com/publications).

How You Can Help

Muslims who are incarcerated often feel forgotten and cut off from the wider community and the Ummah. By providing quality reading material, let us show our incarcerated brothers and sisters that they matter and that the Muslim community has not forgotten them.

The funds donated towards this project will cover the cost of books.

Any surplus donations will be used for other projects by LWA.

Feedback From Prisoners

“I am writing to firstly thank you for the Diary and the Daily Adhkar book which I received from the Imam. May Allah reward you, and bless you and Ummah Welfare Trust for all your work. The books and hadiths have really helped me. Also, I write this because while I learn through your books, I teach it to my wife through the phone, and Alhamdulillah her Iman has increased thanks to Allah’s guidance.”

“Thank you for your donation of the diaries. The diaries are superb. Even better than last ones. We really appreciate your gesture. May Allah grant you Jannah for sending the diaries as it helps in many ways; we can learn the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad alongside the Quran verses; plus, the special dates. The diary has been presented very well.”

“AsSalamu Alaykum Warahmatullahi, I hope you are all well. I am sadly writing to you from inside a prison cell and regret having to write to you from such a place. Please don’t think ill of me and pray that my repentance is accepted. I recently received a 2022 Diary from one of the Imams. I am really grateful for it and all of the good information inside. I particularly like the adhkar and the transliteration to help with as I can’t read Arabic too well (But I’m currently learning (and the regular reminders to reflect are awesome too). I am using the diary to tick off my 5 Daily salah’s as I get through this sentence and I’m slowly including more sunnah salah’s as I go along Alhamdulillah. I can’t do anything for you whilst I’m in here but I’ll make dua for you all. Thank you for all the good work you do, there aren’t many who think of prisoners and it means a lot that you do remember us. May Allah reward you all abundantly and without measure!!”
