In memory of Nicolas Terrones
Shorewood High Schools Buzz with Love is an annual event within the Shorewood Community where students commit to shaving their heads to raise awareness for childhood cancer research.

Story

After an 8-year battle with brain cancer, which included multiple surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation treatments, my dear brother-in-law, Nicolas Richard Terrones (pictured above), passed away at the age of 31.  He left behind a wife, two young children, and a family that loved him immensely.  Part of what we learned is that his type of cancer likely began at a young age and was only detected in Nic's early twenties when it reached the point where it began to physically harm him.  Early detection and treatment can contribute significantly to continually rising success rates in the battle against cancer.  Any dollar amount that you can contribute to my haircut on May 24th will be immensely appreciated!  I am doing this to support the students of Shorewood High School who are organizing this important fundraiser for the MACC Fund, my family who will forever grieve the loss of Nic and for everyone who has ever been affected by cancer.  Thank you!
