Story
For the last four years, we have held a very special coffee morning at Prim Perfect head offices in support of Macmillan Cancer Support's Coffee Morning, where we have raised over £540.00 (over US$720) through the sale of virtual cake - and we will be doing it again this year.
But this year on Friday 29th September we are also inviting people across virtual worlds to join us by holding coffee mornings of their own - in their stores, cafes, and virtual homes.
–we’ll help you live it." Find out more at:

The Coffee Morning is Macmillan's biggest fundraising event, where they ask people across the UK to hold a coffee morning and raise money for people living with cancer. People bake cakes to sell at coffee mornings that they host at their homes, their places of work, their schools, colleges and universities ... In 2016, Macmillan Coffee Mornings raised an amazing £29.5 million.
In Second Life, people can organise coffee mornings too to support this.
Prim Perfect is a media organisation based in Second Life producing magazines, blogs and online TV shows, for virtual people who want to read about and see shows about life in virtual reality ... and behind those virtual people are real people who are incredibly generous in supporting good causes.

How do you sell virtual cake?
Well, we think our virtual cake is rather good value!
We ask people to give us their favourite cake recipe, and put
it inside a virtual cake. Then when someone buys the virtual cake,
they receive a real recipe - so they really have whole cakes that they
can make over and over again - and there are a lot of really
delicious cakes to try!
Last year, some people made really exquisite Second Life cakes that the
buyers could display in their own virtual kitchens. Others made simple
cakes following our instructions, or even simply gave us a recipe and we
made the cakes for them. So, you see, anyone can take part - and last a number did, setting up their own coffee mornings across Second Life!
This year, we are hoping more cafes, clubs and restaurants across Second Life will join in too. And that they will then donate the funds they raise here, on this Just Giving page.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and
cutting costs for the charity.
