Story
Within a month of our last fundraising event, the country was in lockdown and the world as we know it has not looked the same since.
With people being unable to travel easily to see family, friends and colleagues in other offices we have been thinking about how we can all work together to improve both our mental and physical wellbeing as the winter months approach.
So we have set ourselves a challenge to travel around the world in 80 days as a team.
That is 40,075 km (24,091 miles) by 4 January 2021.
We are getting our family involved too and heading out, tracking our distances whilst running, walking, cycling and swimming.
We aren't aiming to raise a certain amount, but would be grateful for anything you are happy to donate. We know this year hasn't been easy for anyone, but if you can spare even just the small amount you've saved on fuel by working from home today, or the few pound you'd usually use to buy a coffee on your commute, then collectively we can give back to Birmingham Children's Hospital, who have worked harder than ever this year, and are a very worthy cause.
At Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, we believe there’s always more we can do for our sick kids and that’s why we will always strive to do more for our patients and families. It’s our mission to raise the vital funds needed to make a real difference to all who use our hospital.Your support empowers us to take innovative approaches to treating some of the sickest children in the UK. Your fundraising enables us to make our hospital feel just like home. Your donations are helping us to find new ways to treat and cure childhood diseases.
