Story
We are doing it again, we are attempting our second Primal.Kind challenge this December 19th.
Four lads, two kayaks and one monster challenge!
With our trade mark level of ambition and originality, we have turbo-charged the Great Glen Way. This well known national trail running between Fort William and Inverness spans 116km and 3 lakes, including the infamous Loch Ness. Normally completed over 5 days, we are aiming to finish it in 48 hours; hiking and kayaking, carrying everything we need on our backs, even the kayaks!
The question we always hear; WHY?
We know it is going to be tough. It is obviously going to be cold and at times really miserable. But we want to know how far our bodies can take us and what we can collectively endure.
Too often, people in the fitness world maintain their self-esteem solely through how they look. They may not be fully aware of how awesome their physique really is, what feats they can achieve or how far they can push themselves. This is another amazing way to fuel our self-worth and create memories and friendships that will outlast our well defined abs and rock hard buns.
We believe everybody should have a chance to experience their own version of greatness and the satisfaction that comes from pushing through limitations.
The first step is always the hardest. The first step is in our minds. Mental health plays a big part in these kind of challenges and in our day to day lives. Some people speak up, some don’t. Everybody experiences their own struggle and to a different extend. We all have a mental health, we are all vulnerable and we all deserve support when we need it. That’s why we decided to become an official fundraiser for Mind Charity and raise funds for them for a second time.
Please support us during our challenge by donating to Mind Charity through our JustGiving page. We are doing this for us, for you, for everyone that needs help now and for those who may need it in the future. For better mental health.
£20 could pay for targeted mental health support, including support groups and workshops for children and young people.
£40 could help Mind train the entire school staff to look after their own mental health.
£50 could help support Mind's campaigning work, and push the government to improve support services for our children.
£100 could help take Mind's Whole School Approach into more schools - and meet their target of helping 126,000 teachers and parents by 2022.
Your support ensures MIND can be there - on the other end of the phone, in local communities and campaigning hard for better services and support.
If you got this far, THANK YOU SO MUCH, we truly appreciate your time and support.
