I decided to join these brave ladies in this quest because cancer has touched quite a few lives around me, including those of close family members. I truly believe that with enough R&D (which I am really pleased our University is heavily involved with: www.nottingham.ac.uk/impactcampaign/campaignpriorities/healthandwell-being/cancerearlydetection/cancerearlydetection.aspx), we will find ways to beat most types of cancer in the not-too-distant future, together with helping those currently living with it and supporting their loved ones.
