Help Puerto Rico's Coffee Farmers · 21 January 2021

Support Hispanic Federation's initiatives to advance the education, economic mobility, health, and wellbeing of Latino and immigrant families across the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

Story

For 50 years, my family has owned and operated Café Gran
Batey, a coffee farm in Puerto Rico.

I was born and raised in the business and work every day
with my father and mother to keep it going.

Puerto Ricans are proud of our coffee and we have the
ability to produce the finest tasting coffee in the world—which is why we keep
so much of it on the island!

In 2017, Hurricane Maria devastated most of the coffee farms
in Puerto Rico, including ours.

With the help of Hispanic Federation’s seedling program, my family
and I are rebuilding the farm one coffee tree at a time.

Almost one-million trees have been given to farms like ours
in Puerto Rico, with another million to go.

I hope you will help my family and many other local farms on
the island by giving $3 to this program to cover the cost of a coffee tree.

Please watch our story and give to this campaign if you can.

Gracias
